Short lived perennial. Best treated as a biennial with tall, erect spikes arranged in a pyramid bearing blue bell-shaped flowers. At Great Dixter they are grown in pots and taken indoors once flowering starts. This prevents pollination and will make flowers last longer. Likes sun or partial shade and good soil.
Height: 1.5m Spread: 50cm
Sow in late summer at 20°C to flower the following year. Protect young seedlings from frost.
