Hardy monocarpic (plants that flower, set seed, then die) perennial with acid yellow upper leaves and umbels of tiny acid yellow flowers in May. Summer dormant. Will self-sow, sun or part shade and moist well-drained soil.
Sow fresh seed outside (needs winter cold) onto moist compost in containers in summer to autumn. Cover seed to the same depth with sieved compost and a protective covering of grit. Turn out the container the following August and search for pale yellow peppercorn-sized tubers. Plant into small pots and plant out when leaves appear the following winter. Alternatively broadcast-sow outside in autumn where they are to flower.
This packet contains one glassine bag of seeds.
